The 2010 KIS Partnering Forum will be held in Rome, Italy on February 11-12.

The Forum is designed to bring together innovators, policy makers, companies and investors to explore the Knowledge Intensive Services (KIS) sector and to discuss how innovation can best be fostered and supported.

Filas will be present at the KIS Forum 2010 as the coordinator of the ImMediaTe Project that aims to support SMEs and larger companies in the digital media and creative industries by developing and integrating the tools and services provided by the 10 project partners to the Digital Media Clusters in Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Malta.
Moreover, the project will also create an innovative business services organisation to assist European ventures in this sector and catalyse their full growth and innovation potential.

The two-day KIS Forum will open with a welcome message from Reinhard Buescher, Head of the European Commission Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General. Each day will be opened by an initial joint session and then proceed through a series of parallel sessions.

On February 11, Ms. Michela Michilli, Head of the Filas EU Programmes and International Unit and ImMediaTe Project Director, will give a presentation in the “Outlooks and Trends Session” to present best innovation cases in the ICT & Digital Media sector.

On February 12, Mr. Carlo Donzella will participate in the “New ways for facilitating access to finance” discussion panel, another main focus area for Filas.

The KIS Partnering Forum provides a platform for the discussion of the latest trends and developments in the KIS sector. It provides a concrete opportunity for service entrepreneurs to network and build partnerships with businesses in other sectors and other parts of Europe.

The KIS Partnering Forum is organised by the Knowledge Intensive Services – Innovation Platform an EU funded initiative aimed at developing and testing new innovation support tools and services in the following sectors: ICT, Renewable Energy, Downstream Satellite Applications, Mobile Services, New Media, Construction, Creative sector and Digital Media.

The Conference will be held at the Rome Tecnopolo Tiburtino Industrial Park. The Park Company, of which Filas is a shareholder, implements actions designed to promote, improve and stimulate the development of high-tech industry.
