The Trade Department of the French Embassy in Paris presented the Italian Aerospace Clusters to their French counterparts and various enterprises associated with GIFAS (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales). The meeting was held in the offices of the French Association of Aerospace Industries in the context of the Aerospace Road Show that will be held in March 2009. This initiative has been jointly promoted by the French Embassy, AIAD, ICE and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.

The Road Show will be held on March 18-20, 2009 and will feature the visit of French aerospace operators in Turin, Rome and Naples.

In Paris, the mission programme was illustrated by representatives of tow French aerospace clusters, ASTECH and SPHERIS.

The Italian clusters were presented by Gerardo Lancia, the Filas Manager for the Lazio DTA, and Paolo Bellomia for DEMA (Piedmont) and representative of AIAD SMEs.

The industrial realities of Campania and Puglia were presented by Sergio Mazzarella for Campaniaerospace who is also the Head of the Economic Development Councillorship for the Campania Region, and Angelo Guarino, Vice President of the Salento Industrial Federation, while Massimo Cavalieri presented the National Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA) in Capua.
